Zephen - Concept 1

This is a concept for Zephen, a holy Arczell of the Unleztruv, the heavenly plane in the spiritual Anli realms, in my RAVAGE AND REQUIEM series. Ethereal and brandishing flaming axes of ribbed light, Zephen is unique among his angelic kin, though still considered lesser compared to the five Aurixells, the highest order of archangels in the Unleztruv.

In the first of the elder days, after a brief confrontation with Riphylur, one of the five infernal Uxuclique, Zephen became imprisoned somewhere in between planes of existence. Uncannily enough, this is shortly before the rise of the legendary warrior, Sile, a foreboding telepathic being styling himself as a "blight hunter," one spoken about only in whispers among mystics and shamans in certain Enpherom tribes. As a result, in a series of harrowing premonitions throughout the centuries, both Zephen and Sile became associated with esotericism and are errantly believed to be two sides of the same coin due to their bizarre similarities and unknown powers. Yet even the wisest of Raktogin who have "touched the absolute" do not fully understand if Sile truly is of an alternate reality...or an unholy product made to merely mock Zephen.

Only one thing is known for certain: a prophecy that speaks of one known as "Ansdarion" must come forward in the last days to free Zephen, for his celestial abilities will be sorely needed to battle "Camacoatl," the death serpent.
