Tauldren - Concept 2 (Maethel Idol)

This is a concept for an idol of Maethel, the demonic dragon empress of the volcanic province of Tauldren and one of the four Drixilian tetrarchs occupying Raktogin, in my RAVAGE AND REQUIEM series. This particular scene displays part of the interior of Maethel's palace and also shows a human female Drixilac cultist worshiping Maethel while tending to the candles on the altar. Note the malefic energies emanating from the idol, including the shadowy, smoky essence fuming from the six dragon heads and the burning replica of Maethel's imperial eye across her chest.

I will probably recycle elements in this artwork later to illustrate a concept of Maethel herself.
