This is a redesign of Roxus, a fallen angel and Defeana's lover, who appears in my RAVAGE AND REQUIEM series.
Like Defeana, Roxus was originally an Arczell of the heavenly realm, known as the Unleztruv. And like so many Fallens in the elder days of Raktogin, Roxus and Defeana lay together, prompting their official fall from the Unleztruv. As a result, Defeana bore a Nalx, the forbidden offspring of Fallens who exude almost god-like powers, as many Nalx were worshiped as gods and demigods before being imprisoned in the Nevarifta and other dark places of the spiritual Anli realms after a global calamity devastated Raktogin. Disgusted with her newborn son yet simultaneously not possessing the intestinal fortitude to kill him herself, Defeana callously abandoned the Nalx in the remote deserts of Raktogin, foolishly presuming he would meet his demise then and there.
Unrepentant of their reckless carnal desire for one another, Roxus and Defeana ventured to House Oxil deep in the infernal realm of the Nevarifta, where they renounced Unzelkoyte and pledged eternal allegiance to Drixilo, the demon host. Yet, fearful of the emergence of more Nalx and incurring more of Unzelkoyte's wrath, Drixilo, Malroc, and the Ot Kharden had already outlawed all sexual intimacy and affection among his servants, much to the chagrin of Roxus and Defeana. This would later be amended, thanks to Enerbiez, a tetrarch who would later establish the province of Ebenex and the order of incubi, exempt from some of the sexual restrictions imposed by Drixilo, so long as they used their lustful acts strictly to harm and corrupt humans. Delighted by Enerbiez's cunning, Roxus petitioned to be transferred to Ebenex as a subordinate of Enerbiez; Roxus would later swear fealty to Id-Zix, the ruler of Ixod, after Enerbiez's downfall. But Roxus's loyalty truly lay with Defeana and Constanvol, the "baron" of Goena.
Roxus became aware of Constanvol's ambition to overthrow the holy ones of the Unleztruv and assume godhood by obtaining the Thruus Dyla, the throne of Unzelkoyte, all the while betraying Drixilo and the Penterium in the process. Vengeful toward Unzelkoyte and hating heaven, Roxus and Defeana both secretly vowed loyalty to Constanvol, serving as his double agents in the Penterium. To avoid detection from Drixilian telepathy, Constanvol gifted to them amulets and earrings of otherworldly black stone that nullified psychic energy. Over time, Defeana grew doubtful of Constanvol's abilities and the baron's intentions for she and Roxus, and after being confronted by Gyeno, the emperor of Goena and Constanvol's uncle, Defeana reluctantly agreed to participate in an elaborate scheme that may undermine far more than just Constanvol's plotting.
