Drixilac Cultist - Concepts 1 & 2 (Rinyox Enpherom Celebrant)

Some concepts of the Drixile-worshiping cultists, known as Drixilacs, in my RAVAGE AND REQUIEM series. The portraits featured show some of the Enpherom of the Rinyox nation, the centuries-old enemy of the Jyodem Enpherom.

The Enpherom are descendants of Enfareon, one of three brothers who survived a great global cataclysm in the earliest of the ancient days of Raktogin, with Vauferos the ancestor of the Vauphec and Enosheb the ancestor of the Enoshah. After the Second Surfacing and with the demonic Drixiles now running amok waging war, many of the Enpherom began to revert to the "old ways" during the rise of anarchy of the now-apocalyptic world of Raktogin. As a result, a revival of Enpherom traditions, as well as new beliefs, were reborn across the globe as all indigenous peoples united in a coalition to survive and defeat the Drixilian empire: the Penterium. The Penterium, replacing the collapsed mortal world government, was briefly led under the stewardship of Gyeno, disguised as a politician, Rauth-Angelus Gyvanello, who was actually overseeing preparations for Scion Zilan's ascension to power in New Neva behind the scenes. Upon Zilan's arrival in the now-occupied Raktogin, Gyvanello feigned defeat with the intention to deceive the Enpherom, Enoshah, and Vauphec with a false and temporary peace. He would later be appointed as one of the tetrarchs and dispatched to govern the western province of Goena to begin a new religion and sovereign state capable of complete control over its augmented citizens, enslaved and lobotomized with altered realities styled as "enlightenment."

Meanwhile, the Enpherom coalition, coined the "Jyodem" nation, suffered from much infighting due to the constant clash of its unified civilizations and their diverse religions and philosophies. The main issue that ultimately divided the Enpherom was centered around some of their heirlooms, eventually dubbed "war-fetishes," which were now allegedly teeming with the spirits of their "ancestors," a phenomenon prophesied by shamans and mystics long ago purported to take place in the last days of Raktogin and the advent and rebirth of the new world to come. Some endorsed this, believing the power of the war-fetishes their only salvation against the Drixilian invaders, yet many Enpherom condemned the use of war-fetishes, believing it to be Drixilian witchcraft trying to deceive them, thus causing great and costly infighting and civil war among the Enpherom. This resulted in many Enpherom disbanding from the Jyodem and forming the "Rinyox" nation. Sadly, many of the Rinyox, along with many Enoshah anarchists and even some of the Vauphec deserters, would eventually surrender to the Drixiles and fall victim to the rise of the Drixilac cult, the violent and lecherous worship of Drixilo.
