This is a concept for Constanvol, Son of Veliath and Drixilian Scion, in my RAVAGE AND REQUIEM series.
In the early days of Raktogin, when some of the Arczells fell from the Unleztruv to follow Drixilo, they assumed corporeal forms and many laid with mortal woman. Their offspring were known as the Nalx. The Nalx were highly volatile beings, showing no allegiance to neither Unzelkoyte or Drixilo, as many of them were worshiped as gods and demigods. Because of this, global calamity overcame Raktogin, for Unzelkoyte, the creator god of Raktogin and the Unleztruv sent a comet, obliterating most of Raktogin's denizens, even permanently altering the world's axis and causing the sun to rise in the South and set in the North. Upon the death of their corporeal forms, the spirits of the Nalx were sentenced to be imprisoned for eternity in various places in the Anli, the spirit planes, while others, including the Drixile parents of the Nalx, were made to be tormented and afflicted in other ways. This was to send a warning to all spiritual beings, Arczells and Drixiles alike, of the consequences of immortal beings breeding. Drixilo, already despising displays of compassion or romance and regarding it as human weakness, was shaken enough by Unzelkoyte's admonition that even he prohibited his Drixilian subordinates from engaging in anything considered amorous. This ruling would later be amended years later in House Oxil on behalf of incubi and succubi being implemented in Drixilo's service due to Enerbiez's argument that sexual pleasure could be used strictly as a means of torment and manipulation to further Drixilian machinations, so long as the Drixiles felt no compassion for mortals.
Unfortunately for Veliath, one of the Drixilian Scions, and Drixilo's head general, he did not fall into the category of incubus. A night came when Minaya, one of the Mulya-Sheloth, grew bored and visited Veliath via astral projection to harass him for her own amusement. Knowing Drixilo's ruling against romance, Minaya wielded her succubus charm and had Veliath confess his secret disdain for Drixilo, having found his new freedom and self-awareness being apart from his "father." Minaya used this revelation to seduce Veliath into laying with her astral-projecting soul and inadvertently impregnating her spirit in the process. Veliath's folly was quickly discovered, and he was judged and executed in the Nevarifta; his corporeal body was disposed of somewhere in an archipelago in what would later become the province of Ixod.
Within the Mionia, tensions began to rise among the other Mulya-Sheloth, as they hated the Drixiles despite their hedonistic ways, for the Drixiles desired to use the Mionia as a gate to breach the Unleztruv and besiege the heavens. One of the Mulya-Sheloth, Amaiphynie, was the most belligerent and defiant about Minaya's supernatural pregnancy, for a demon was entwined with her body and soul. Eventually, Erimylekah, the most dominant of the Mulya-Sheloth sisters, swayed the other moon succubi against Amaiphynie's rebellion. Shortly after, Amaiphynie mysteriously vanished when a strange comet of white fire passing the moon took her.
Erimylekah did not allow Minaya to give birth in the Mionia and ordered her to do so on Raktogin during an astral projection. Minaya feared that her child would be killed if discovered yet wondered if the child would die if left alone. Under duress, she astral-projected to the desert and spawned a fully-grown male being in a flash of light and departed.
The man wandered naked through the desert wastes and was eventually discovered by Goenan warriors. Sensing that the man was no ordinary Drixile and exuded bizarre powers, they took him to Emperor Gyeno. Gyeno immediately sensed that the man was a Scion of Drixilo and brought him to House Oxil where the man would stand trial. It was deduced that the man was, in fact, the progeny of Veliath, and was to be executed. However, Gyeno intervened and noted that the man was no Nalx and contained no compassion whatsoever and argued that the man would make for a superb asset to the Penterium if given the proper guidance. After clever litigation from Gyeno, House Oxil ruled that the man would live and be a prince of Goena, being Gyeno's nephew. Gyeno named the man "Constanvol," for his powers were not only unique, but he also produced a steadfast stamina.
As the ages past, Constanvol developed his own identity and grew to loathe Gyeno, especially after Gyeno's ceaseless, merciless experimentation on him to discern the secrets of his enigmatic powers. Thus, Constanvol renounced Gyeno and Goena and departed, vanishing for years, all the while honing his abilities and swordsmanship. Legends sprang up among mortals for what Constanvol achieved throughout the world of Raktogin, into the modern age. He would later return to Goena and become a baron, with his own ambition to seek out the Thruus Dyla, the throne of heaven.
